Itinerary

DAY 1 ATHENS – CORINTH – NAFPLION- OLYMPIA

Begin your scheduled Guided seat-in-coach tour to visit three of Greece’s UNESCO-listed
attractions Olympia, Delphi & Meteora. This morning you will be picked up from your Athens City
Hotel.
Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of
Epidaurus, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nafplion(short photo
stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon.
Then depart for Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games through Central Peloponnese and the
towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis.
Overnight stay in OLYMPIA.

Meal: Local Dinner

DAY 2 OLYMPIA – DELPHI

In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient
Stadium, the spot where the torch of the modern Olympic Games is lit and the Archaeological
Museum.
Then drive on through the plains of Ilia and Achaia until the magnificent bridge that crosses the
Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and
Itea. Conclude your day in Delphi.

DAY 3 DELPHI – KALAMBAKA

In the morning visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi, the most famous oracle of
the ancient world. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town located at the foot of the astonishing
complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks (dinner and overnight).

DAY 4 KALAMBAKA – METEORA – ATHENS

This morning of the tour, visit Meteora, and enjoy the unique and most impressive scenery with
ageless Monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between sky
and earth on top of huge rocks. Note: For the Monasteries, ladies are kindly requested to wear a
skirt and gentlemen long trousers.
Post lunch stop, return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia. On the way, you will also visit the battlefield of
Thermopylae, (a short stop to see across the road Leonida’s Monument), where the famous battle
of the 300 Spartans took place. It was one of the most important battles between the Greeks and
the Persians (480 BCE).
TOUR CONCLUDES AT ATHENS HOTEL
